Greetings from the principal of the school
I have been engaged in education and research at the university for many years, but in March 2020, I will be retiring. And from April I will be taking on the role of President of Sagami International School, teaching Japanese to international students. I have taught many international students at universities, and from now on, I will be supporting those who are aiming to enter universities.
Japan has been accepting foreign human resources in various forms for a long time, but in the age of globalization, Japan is now actively accepting more. Across the world, people are increasingly interacting across national borders.
In order to strengthen mutual ties and deepen friendship, it is important to understand each other's language and culture, and to know each other's lifestyle. Sagami International School supports international students so that they can learn Japanese in a better environment and live safely as a member of the local community.
We also hope that our school will become a leader of a multicultural society.
Our school is a new school that opened in April 2017. We have a wide range of faculty members, including experienced teachers and young energetic teachers, and our students come from all over the world, especially from Asia.
In March 2019, we sent out our first graduates. We expect that the day will soon come when international students who studied at our school will be active in Japan or in their home countries.
Let's all study together at Sagami International School.
